“Whoever sacrifices a thank offering glorifies Me and makes a way; I will show him the salvation of God.” – (Ps 50:23)
There is no better way to do our last day of Daniel Fast than to come into God’s presence with a sacrifice of thanksgiving and with joy.
A Thanksgiving offering will open doors. In case there are doors that haven’t responded during our fasting, we can open them with a sacrifice of Thanksgiving. Such an offering will make our eyes open to the Salvation of God.
When worry about the future threatens us, God is reminding us that instead we could in faith offer a Thanksgiving sacrifice that pleases Him.
We can share what God has given us in love and with a heart of thankfulness, and an open hand of generosity.
We bless the Lord for the generous offering we received. The opportunity to give is still there as a sign of gratitude.
Our gift offerings should correspond to the reward of our answered prayers. That’s what blesses God.
God’s Word confirms what pleases Him. Hebrews 13:15-16 teaches us that we must link thanksgiving with sharing “…But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
One lesson that we must never loose as Christians is to share what we have with the hungry, the poor and God’s servants in need. Remember Jesus promised that we shall receive the reward of prophets and righteous persons when we participate in supplying their needs (Matt 10:41).
Let us take time to thank God for every item we prayed for, because by faith it is given. This is how we can move into higher realms of faith.
Thanksgiving has great power to bring joy and break the power of the enemy. Whenever you give thanks to God from a heart full of faith, no matter how difficult our circumstances are, the enemy loses and we become victorious.
When you give thanks in the midst of difficulty, you bring pleasure to God’s heart. Today we intend to make God happy for taking us through and for hearing our cry. Make this last day a day of thanking to the Lord. Do so in our conversations, prayers and activities. Let us Praise and thank the Lord!
I want to sincerely thank all those who have responded with gift sacrifices. May the Lord water you abundantly. Our giving campaign for Mathare Slums Children and for Nyambura’s house will run up to weekend. You are welcomed to give if you haven’t done so.
