“Therefore be imitators of God as beloved children. Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us as a fragrant offering and a sacrifice to God.” – (Eph 5:1-2)
One way we can the Lord Jesus this Christmas is by imitating Him. The Bible says we imitate Christ’s love.
Christ was very prayerful and obedient to His Father’s will; be obedient to God and always spend good time to listen to God in prayer.
Christ was a giver, He gave the best gift – His own life for us (John 3:16); we should imitate Him in giving ourselves for the sake of others.
Christ was full of compassion for the sick and suffering; imitate Him by being compassionate and helping the less privileged.
Though Christ was the Son of God, He chose a simple life and never lived in luxury; we can imitate Him by spending only what we need and sparing the rest to assist those in need.
Christ was full of God’s love. His life was a fragrance, no wonder many people followed Him; we should likewise love not only those who will love us back but also the unlovable.
Christ offered His life as a sacrifice for many; what are you sacrificing this Christmas season?
