As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17)

Healthy relationships make life enjoyable perhaps more than anything else. A poor man with a loving family and good friends is far richer than a rich man who is poor relationally.

Healthy relationships are the most important thing in life. A Jewish religious expert asked Jesus which is the biggest commandment. Jesus replied love the Lord and love your neighbor (Matt. 22:36-40).

A loving relationship with God is of first importance; but loving relationships with others is second. The Bible is all about these two important relationships.

It’s sad that there are so many believers who are hurting of broken relationships. Broken relationships take a lot of our energies and at times life stops at that.

You need healthy relationships to pursue your dream. Joseph for example was faithful and related so well with his brothers on his part and God brought to be his dream of greatness. Joseph related well with everyone wherever he was.

There are people who are so sweet to relate to and you want to spend more time with them. These persons awaken our dreams and give us a lot of courage to live.

Think of the difficult people to relate to? If on your part you treat them well, they will change for better. Paul says: “If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.” (Rom. 12:18).

But even if some relationships never improve, if you relate to others as Paul describes here, most of your relationships will be healthy.

You need God to live your dream and you need others to spice your life and keep the dream alive. Don’t kill your dream in broken relationships.

I want to sincerely thank all those who have responded with gift sacrifices. May the Lord water you abundantly.
